New Arrival Holding Pen

New arrivals are housed separate for a few days to evaluate their health and personalities. Then they are housed in the community pen fenced off from the other ducks for one evening and released in the morning with the flock. In the evening they follow the rest of the flock into the community and thus they are assimilated into the flock. This is a fairly easy process as ducks are very social animals.
